Car History

Records of this C8/843/SC, including build sheets, along with entries in the AMOC Registers over the years along with some early ownership details. The car spent much of its life as part of a collection in W. Germany thought to be owned by a Dr Brandt. It was recorded by the AMOC as still in Germany in 1984. In 1988 C8/843/SC returned to the UK via Morntane Engineering (now Ecurie Bertelli) where it underwent a full nut and bolt restoration with no expense spared for the new owner Mr Mike Bagworth, this included new bodywork by Rod Jolly to standard short chassis open specification. This was completed in 1991/92.

Mr Bagworth sold this car on in 2007 and Ecurie Bertelli sold this car again in 2021, the purchaser a that time has since passed away bringing this car back to the market.

Over the years, C8/843/SC has been used regularly in the summer months including trips to Angouleme, Pau and Chinon and many AMOC concours gatherings. The car has been kept the car in the most fantastic condition. Ecurie Bertelli completed a very thorough schedule of maintenance during the winter of 2020 which included a suspension re-build, brake re-build, engine maintenance, replacement exhaust system and an upgrade to a Speed Model clutch system, since which the car has been very lightly used. Completely ready to run and enjoy for many miles, this exceptional car is available to view by appointment at our showroom. Please contact Robert Blakemore for more details.
