Aston Martin MKII Long Chassis Tourer – Chassis J4/501/L

Discover this 1934 Aston Martin MKII Long Chassis Tourer, a stunning example of pre-war classic cars and vintage Aston Martin craftsmanship. Originally delivered to Mr. P. King of Norwich in December 1934, this car remained in the King family until moving to Mr Briggs in Bershire staying in the UK until 1986. The next chapter saw J4/501/L traveling to New York, later to Germany, and finally returning home in 2007. With six recorded owners and a well-documented history including a substantial history file, this car is a true collector’s piece.

Maintained by Ecurie Bertelli, the leading specialist in pre-war Aston Martins, for over 20 years, J4/501/L underwent a comprehensive engine rebuild in 2013, retaining its strengthened original cylinder block. Since then, it has covered only modest mileage, ensuring exceptional mechanical condition.

This MKII offers generous space for passengers and luggage, making it perfect for classic car touring, historic rallies, or simply enjoying the open road. Renowned for its outstanding handling and braking—among the best of any pre-war sports car—this Aston Martin combines timeless elegance with exhilarating performance.
